Inspirational Special Dialogue on “The Path to Freedom from Malnutrition: Cow-Based Nutrition”

Under the guidance of Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, Former Chairman of the National Kamdhenu Commission and Founder Chairman of GCCI, the Global Confederation of Cow Based Industries (GCCI) organized a special session under its “Gokulam” dialogue series on the topic “The Path to Freedom from Malnutrition: Cow-Based Nutrition.” Ms. Bhagyashree Ramdas Chounde, associated with Shri Govardhan Women and Child Development Foundation and a member of the organizing committee of Gau Tech–2026, was present as the keynote speaker.

During the session, Ms. Chounde elaborated on the values of cow service (Gau Seva) rooted in her family tradition since the time of India’s freedom movement. Although connected with the medical field, she shared her heartfelt experiences about choosing cow service as the central mission of her work and the life circumstances that led her to adopt this path.

She emphasized that the cow is not merely a matter of faith, but also represents a scientific and practical solution linked to health. She presented examples from her experimental work demonstrating how cow-based nutrition can effectively address the serious social issue of malnutrition.

She discussed the challenges faced while working with malnourished children, the development process of medicines using Panchgavya ghee, indigenous cow milk, and medicinal herbs, and the positive outcomes observed, including weight gain, improved immunity, and overall health enhancement among children.

She also highlighted the nutritional qualities of indigenous Indian cow milk and stressed the importance of balancing traditional knowledge with modern medical science. She expressed confidence that integrating cow-based nutritional elements, particularly in maternal nutrition, and implementing this model on a broader scale could lead to long-term health improvements and effective malnutrition prevention in society.

In conclusion, she emphasized the need for research, practical models, and policy-based approaches alongside Gau Seva. She expressed hope that platforms like Gau Tech–2026 can bring together researchers, doctors, youth, and startups to promote cow-based industry models.

The webinar was streamed live on GCCI’s Facebook and YouTube channel “OfficialGCCI.” The session was moderated by GCCI General Secretary Mr. Amitabh Bhatnagar.
