Bharat Singh Rajpurohit delivered a special address focusing on farmer
income enhancement and the self-reliance of Gaushalas.
On 20th July 2025 (Sunday), the “Gau Rashtra Yatra” arrived at Kishan Gaushala located near Aji Dam, opposite Ramvan on the Gondal Bypass Road in Rajkot. A grand welcome ceremony was held under the auspices of GCCI (Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries) and Kishan Gaushala, in the august presence of Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria (Former Union Minister, Former Chairman of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, and Founder of GCCI) and Rajkot Mayor Smt. Nayanaben Pedhadiya. The Yatra is being ably led by Shri Bharat Singh Rajpurohit (Chairman, Animal Welfare and Agriculture Research Institute – AWARI), Shri Narendra Kumar (Founder, Hind Rise Cow Conservation Ashram and Rashtriya Gausevak Sangh), and Shri Rohit Bisht (Founder, Maati India). The core team also includes Shri Harshadbhai Guguliya (Founder, Kamdhenu Gauvéd) and other key supporters. The welcome ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation of a large number of dignitaries, cow devotees, and farmers who raised slogans in praise of Gau Mata, Nandi Dev, and Bharat Mata. After the welcome, a visit to Kishan Gaushala was conducted where participants received detailed information about ongoing cow service activities. The team also inspected the on-site organic granular fertilizer production unit. During the occasion, a public address session was held in the presence of esteemed guests including Mayor Smt. Nayanaben Pedhadiya, Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, Shri Chandreshbhai Patel (Kishan Gaushala), Shri Rameshbhai Rupareliya (Gir Gau Jatan Sansthan, Gondal), Shri Meghjibhai Hirani (RSS Representative for Cow Service, Kutch), Shri Kantibhai Bhut (Sahjanand Gaushala), Shri Rameshbhai Thakkar (Shreeji Gaushala), Shri Dhirendra Kanabar (Sadbhavana Bull Ashram), and industrialist and cow devotee Shri Hirenbhai Hapaliya. All shared their insights and support for the “Gau Rashtra Yatra.” Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria emphasized that the “Gau Rashtra Yatra” is not just a religious or symbolic journey, but the foundation of India’s cultural renaissance. He stated that Gau Mata is the soul of Indian lifestyle — a crucial part of our food, agriculture, and health systems — as well as a key component in achieving national self-reliance, environmental conservation, and rural development. The Yatra delivers the message that true prosperity, values, and health for India cannot be achieved without the preservation and promotion of Gau Mata. He further elaborated that the Yatra is a movement aiming to revive cow-based economy, natural farming, Panchgavya-based healing, grazing land development, and cow-based enterprises throughout India. By connecting villages, farmers, youth, and women, this movement strengthens the vision of “Gram Swarajya” (village self-rule) and “Rashtriya Swabhimaan” (national pride). Dr. Kathiria called upon every citizen to take part in this noble cause and resolve to make India a nation devoted once again at the feet of Gau Mata. He described this Yatra as not just cow service, but a path to the welfare of all humanity. Addressing the gathering, Shri Bharat Singh Rajpurohit, Chairman of AWARI, highlighted the importance of making farmers and Gaushalas self-reliant. He underlined the economic and social significance of indigenous cows and emphasized that proper management of native cattle and adoption of cow-based agricultural systems can substantially increase farmer incomes. He explained in detail that cow-rearing should not merely be seen as a traditional practice but as a strong and profitable economic model capable of supporting the rural economy. Gaushalas should not remain just shelters for cattle, but should evolve as production centers for cow urine, dung, and other cow-based products. With such resources, Gaushalas can produce Ayurvedic medicines, industrial inputs, disinfectants, ethically useful items, and organic fertilizers — thereby not only fulfilling their financial needs but also generating surplus revenue. This will make the mission of cow protection financially sustainable and truly self-reliant. Shri Rajpurohit also mentioned that the “Gau Rashtra Yatra” has already passed through Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan, and has now entered Gujarat. The next leg will take the Yatra to Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. With each step, the Yatra is strengthening its resolve towards the conservation of native cattle and the reconstruction of India’s rural economy. The entire welcome event was successfully conducted under the guidance of GCCI’s General Secretary Shri Mittal Khetani. Prominent attendees included Jayantibhai Tagdiya, Arunbhai Nirmal, Rajubhai Balak, Jagdishbhai Hariyani, Vinodbhai Kachhadiya, Kishorbhai Vora, D.D.
