Stray Dog Crisis Can Be Resolved Through Population Regulation – RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Speaking at the birth anniversary celebrations of Srila Prabhupada and the centenary celebrations of Sri Sachchidananda Math organised by the Gaudiya Vaishnava Sammilani in Cuttack on Thursday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the stray dog crisis can be resolved by regulating their population rather than sending them to shelter homes. “All animals have the right to live, and it is essential to maintain a balance between humans and nature,” he said. Citing an example, Bhagwat explained that while milking cows, Indians take some milk and leave the rest for the calf, which reflects the art of maintaining harmony with nature. Later, Bhagwat visited Puri, where he offered prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple and met Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati. He arrived in Cuttack on Wednesday evening and is scheduled to hoist the national flag at the Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti office and address the public on Independence Day.
