Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria to Participate in“Gau Seva Conference” in Ranchi;Will Deliver Keynote Address on New Dimensions ofCow Protection and Development

The “National Conference on Challenges and Opportunities in Cow Protection in the Context of Environmental Balance and Urbanization” is scheduled to be held on June 19–20, 2025, in Ranchi (Jharkhand). The two-day event will bring together experts, scholars, administrative officers, scientists, and policymakers from across the country who are actively engaged in the field of cow protection and welfare. This national conference is being organized by the Jharkhand Gau Seva Aayog with the support of the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperation, Government of Jharkhand. The primary aim of the conference is to discuss the challenges posed by changing environmental conditions and rapid urbanization, and to explore the potential of cow-based systems and industries in the modern context. During the conference, various technical sessions will be held on subjects such as biogas and bio-CNG production, Panchgavya-based therapies, the significance of cow-based products in organic farming, the role of animal husbandry in rural economies, cow-based renewable energy, water conservation, dung management, and innovative models of urban cow care. The event will be graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, the Agriculture Minister, and other senior dignitaries. Eminent Gaushala operators, researchers, cow science experts, NGOs, administrators, and policymakers from all over India will share their views and experiences. It is a matter of pride that Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, former Union Minister, former Chairman of the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, and Founding Chairman of the Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries (GCCI), will participate in the conference as a distinguished guest and keynote speaker from Gujarat. In his address, Dr. Kathiria will elaborate on the scientific, environmental, and economic aspects of cow service. His insights will particularly shed light on Panchgavya therapies, cow-based startups, the role of indigenous cattle in organic agriculture, and sustainable development models rooted in cow-centric systems. Dr. Kathiria has expressed his gratitude to the Jharkhand Gau Seva Aayog for the invitation and stated that such initiatives play a vital role in bringing cow protection and development to national and global platforms. He will soon travel to Ranchi to attend this important event.
